Invitation to Russia

Invitation to Russia

To study or work in Russia, a foreign citizen must obtain an official invitation issued by the inviting party (in this case, BSPU). Once your faculty has confirmed your admission, you must pay for the invitation and complete the online application form. In the form you must fill in all required fields, attach a scan of your passport of good quality, a photograph on a white background (unretouched), and your diploma (except for Preparatory Course students). After the invitation is issued, it will be sent to you by email. You must then apply at the Russian consulate in your country for a single entry study visa (valid for 90 days). After obtaining the visa, you must arrive in Russia at least 40 days before the visa expires so that the university has time to register your migration status and convert your single entry visa into a multiple entry visa.

Invitation for Minors

For a minor foreign citizen to receive an invitation, the following must be attached to the application form:

  • Scan of the minor’s passport (first page)
  • Scan of the parent’s passport (mother or father)
  • Notarized translation of the parent’s passport (provided by the International Office, if needed)
  • Notarized, apostilled translation of the birth certificate (service available in the International Office)
  • Translation of the apostille (service available in the International Office)
  • Photo on a white background
