Резюме. Приводятся данные о летнем населении птиц шести различных типов местообитаний, имеющихся в бассейне нижнего течения р. Гастелловка, расположенной в центральной части о-ва Сахалин. Особое внимание уделяется фоновым видам, а также гнездящимся видам, внесённым в Красные книги различного уровня, в числе которых мандаринка (Aix galericulata), японский бекас (Gallinago hardwickii), рыжий воробей (Passer rutilans) и дубровник (Ocyris aureolus).

Summary. Data about the summer communities of birds of six different biotopes which are available in basin of the lower current of Gastellovka river, located in the central part of Sakhalin Island are given. The special attention is given to conventional species, and also to the nesting species entered in Red Data Books of different level, among them Mandarin Duck (Aix galericulata), Latham’s Snipe (Gallinago hardwickii), Russet Sparrow (Passer rutilans) and Yellow-breasted Bunting (Ocyris aureolus).
